Hi, Iβm Eloise
Iβm an author, existential therapist, teacher, model, and the founder of two businesses: The Purpose Workshop and One Typical Day.
I was born in East London, studied at Cambridge and trained at Oxford. I started in corporate law, spent a year in a monastic community(!) and now focus on existentialism, education and social mobility. You can read more about my background here.
Iβm an ambassador for the UKβs national social mobility charity, and Iβm an Enterprise Advisor for the Mayor of Londonβs education & careers strategy.
Iβve written for publications like The Guardian, Business Insider, Entrepreneur, Harvard Kennedy School and Charity Times, and Iβve been interviewed for places like Vogue, The New York Times, The Sunday Times, Fortune, Elle and GQ. Iβve collaborated with & modelled for brands like Puma Women, ASICS, eBay, Smirnoff, Royal Academy of Arts, BBC Earth, Fenty Beauty, English National Ballet and Sweaty Betty. I was described as βOne To Watchβ in Forbes, and as a βSocial Entrepreneur To Watchβ by the Great British Entrepreneur Awards.
My first TEDx talk, at Cambridge University, focused on meaning, purpose & wellbeing.

Iβm focused on a range of things, but in particular:
Existentialism
Iβm driven by the idea of a full, meaningful life. My therapeutic training is in Existential Analysis and Logotherapy, and I write frequently on the topic of meaning. My newest book, βBut Are You Alive?β explores these themes in a practical, accessible way.
Education
Iβm passionate about the future of education, and the transformative impact of technology in the field. As well as consultancy and mentoring, Iβm working on two businesses focused on education, The Purpose Workshop and One Typical Day. I also teach across the fitness industry (more here).
Impact
I have over a decade of experience in the social impact space, particularly in education and social mobility. Find out more here, for my personal work. Find out more here and here, for the social impact missions behind my businesses.
